WINNER SMART shifted out at the start and bumped POTENTIAL which began awkwardly. BILLION and FLORA DANICA bumped a short distance after the start. From a wide barrier, YUAN’S FORTUNE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. For some distance near the 700 Metres, DARK SECRET was awkwardly placed after improving inside the heels of WINNER SMART where there was a tight run. After the 600 Metres, CHANCELLOR shifted in abruptly when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SADDLERS LODGE and in doing so made contact with DARK SECRET which became unbalanced. Rounding the Home Turn, POTENTIAL blundered after striking the heels of SOHNA which was being shifted to the outside of SMART FORTUNE into clear running. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, DARK SECRET had difficulty obtaining clear running behind FLORA DANICA and inside WINNER SMART. Approaching the 200 Metres, VILASOL was shifted in away from the heels of CHANCELLOR to obtain clear running. Near the 150 Metres, SMART FORTUNE was crowded for room between SOHNA and CHANCELLOR which was taken out by BILLION which was commencing to give ground. Over the concluding stages, VILASOL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SADDLERS LODGE which got its head on the side and shifted in slightly. Because of this, VILASOL was not able to be ridden out to the line as it otherwise would be. A veterinary inspection of SUPREME TYCOON after the race did not show any significant findings. CHANCELLOR and SADDLERS LODGE were sent for sampling.
