Steward Report Predict Pace Map
SADDLERS LODGE was withdrawn on 24.3.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore foot) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter DARS AUTO. Before being allowed to race again, SADDLERS LODGE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. THANKSGIVING, which was leaning on the inside of its barrier, began awkwardly and then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. IRON HAWK and TOP DRAGON were slow to begin. When being steadied approaching the 1400 Metres, TOP DRAGON got its head up and then near the 1300 Metres again got its head up when momentarily racing tight inside SMART GUY. TOP DRAGON again got its head up and proved difficult to settle for some distance after the 1200 Metres. Approaching the 600 Metres, TOP DRAGON was steadied away from the heels of HUMONGUS. DARS AUTO and TOP DRAGON had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Passing the 250 Metres, THANKSGIVING was struck over the nose by the whip of O Doleuze (PERFECT TEN). Near the 100 Metres, CLEMENT SPIRIT was shifted in away from the heels of FERRABOSCO. In the Straight, HUMONGUS got its head on the side and lay in. A veterinary inspection of TOP DRAGON after the race did not show any significant findings. IRON HAWK, THE ONLY KID and FORTUNE BRAVO were sent for sampling.
