CHATER MIKADO stood flat-footed at the start and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, CHATER MIKADO will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. Near the 1400 Metres, HOT SHOT was steadied away from the heels of OTTIMO which was taken in by EMPEROR CLAUDIUS (T Angland) which shifted in when not properly clear. T Angland was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Near the 800 Metres, HOT SHOT lost ground when checked away from the heels of OTTIMO which itself was awkwardly placed inside the heels of TURF EXPRESS. At the same time, HOT SHOT was racing tight inside SUPREME KNIGHT which was racing tight inside NOBLE BOY. After the 300 Metres, GENKI TWINS shifted out under pressure, resulting in VICTORY MASTER being taken wider. After the 200 Metres, HOT SHOT was shifted out away from the heels of TURF EXPRESS. Throughout the race, DRAGON FIGHTER travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of CHATER MIKADO after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SUPREME KNIGHT including an endoscopic examination after the race showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUPREME KNIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUPREME KNIGHT, TURF EXPRESS and HOT SHOT were sent for sampling.
