HAVE FUN TOGETHER began only fairly and shortly after the start was momentarily steadied away from the heels of HURRICANE HUNTER which shifted out. EMPIRE OF PATCH began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped GRACIOUS RYDER. Shortly after the start, SUNNY ORIENT threw its head back and consequently made solid contact with the head of its rider, A Sanna, causing A Sanna to become badly unbalanced and resulting in SUNNY ORIENT being checked and losing ground. From wide barriers, EMPIRE OF PATCH, MY WINNER and BEST GIFT were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 900 Metres, DISTRICT EXPRESS raced in restricted room inside SHINING ON which lay in. Passing the 700 Metres, MY WINNER was checked away from the heels of HURRICANE HUNTER. After the 700 Metres, GRACIOUS RYDER was left racing wide and without cover. Also after the 700 Metres, SUNNY ORIENT lost ground when checked away from the heels of HAVE FUN TOGETHER. For the majority of the race, BEST GIFT travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SUNNY ORIENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SHINING ON had sustained superficial abrasions to the right hind leg. Also after the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that MOST BEAUTIFUL had finished distressed. Before being allowed to race again, MOST BEAUTIFUL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HAVE FUN TOGETHER, HONEST WAY and REGENCY DARLING were sent for sampling.
