From the outside barrier, CHANTILLY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. When being steadied to obtain a position with cover in the early stages, FLORA DANICA got its head up on a number of occasions. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, FLORA DANICA raced tight between METREVELLI and MIRAGE R (T Angland) which shifted in when being ridden along. T Angland was advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 700 Metres, FLORA DANICA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of METREVELLI. Passing the 600 Metres, MIRAGE R was steadied away from the heels of KINGSTON ELITE. In the early part of the Straight, CHANTILLY shifted out under pressure. METREVELLI, which was following CHANTILLY, was shifted out away from the heels of that horse shortly after entering the Straight. Passing the 200 Metres, FLORA DANICA was inconvenienced when disappointed for running between MIRAGE R and KING ON EARTH. After the 150 Metres, PERFECT TEN and WEALTH PARK bumped and became unbalanced as WEALTH PARK attempted to improve into tight running inside MEGA POSH. For some distance after this, WEALTH PARK raced tight between PERFECT TEN and MEGA POSH. Near the 50 Metres, WEALTH PARK was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside MEGA POSH which shifted in. Over the concluding stages, PERFECT TEN raced in restricted room inside MEGA POSH. MEGA POSH, KING ON EARTH and MIRAGE R were sent for sampling.
