ALL MY GLORY was withdrawn prior to Race 1 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind). Before being allowed to race again, ALL MY GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GOAL AND GOLD and FESTINO ANIMOSUS began awkwardly. GROUP LEADER (T Angland) was slow to begin and shortly after the start was inconvenienced when crowded for room between YOU ARE THE ONE and MAROON PRINCE which shifted out. After the race, T Angland stated that after being crowded for room, GROUP LEADER was reluctant to stretch out at any stage, unlike in its trial in the lead up to today’s race when the horse was able to obtain a forward position in the early stages and trialed well. A veterinary inspection of GROUP LEADER after the race did not show any significant findings. After the 600 Metres, YOU ARE THE ONE got its head on the side and lay in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAROON PRINCE. The performance of GOAL AND GOLD, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GOAL AND GOLD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SEASONS STAR and FABULOUS NOVEMBER were sent for sampling.
