XTENSION and CALIFORNIA MEMORY bumped at the start. After the 1400 Metres, SICHUAN SUCCESS and XTENSION made contact as XTENSION shifted in. Near the 1100 Metres, FLYING BLUE got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle. After the 1000 Metres, CERISE CHERRY was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 500 Metres, CALIFORNIA MEMORY was hampered when attempting a run between IRIAN and KING DANCER where there was insufficient room. SICHUAN SUCCESS was badly held up for clear running until after the 200 Metres. Near the 100 Metres, BEAUTY FLASH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of XTENSION when taken out by CALIFORNIA MEMORY (M Chadwick). M Chadwick was advised to ensure that he makes every effort to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in future. After this, CALIFORNIA MEMORY got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure. A veterinary inspection of FLYING BLUE after the race did not show any significant findings. SICHUAN SUCCESS, CALIFORNIA MEMORY and XTENSION were sent for sampling.
