FLASHING AURA began awkwardly and was slow to begin. ST FEVRE was slow to begin. As the start was effected, HAPPY REUNION began awkwardly and made heavy contact with the outside of its stall, resulting in its rider, T Clark, becoming unbalanced in the saddle. Due to these factors, HAPPY REUNION lost ground at the start. From the outside barrier, HAPPY PRESTIGE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. In the Straight, HAPPY REUNION got its head on the side, hung in and proved difficult to ride. Throughout the race, BEST FIT travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of ROMANTIC CITY and KING AL AKBAR after the race did not show any significant findings. ADMIRATION and HORSE GALORE were sent for sampling.
