TRACK LIGHTNING was withdrawn on 18.10.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore foot) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOLDEN INSIGHT (G Cheyne). Before being allowed to race again, TRACK LIGHTNING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HINYUEN PALADIN blundered on jumping. SURROUNDED was very slow to begin and then for some distance after this despite being ridden along became detached from the field. Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, GOLDEN INSIGHT commenced to over-race and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of RUMBA KING. After this, GOLDEN INSIGHT travelled wide and without cover. Also making the first turn near the 700 Metres, BIG WINNER AGAIN got its head on the side, shifted out and bumped WELL NOTED. Near the 600 Metres, BIG WINNER AGAIN was momentarily crowded for room between WELL NOTED and LUCKY TYCOON which shifted out. In the early part of the Straight, EASY AHEAD raced in restricted room between OYSTER and NOTUS. Throughout the race, RUMBA KING travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of WELL NOTED after the race did not show any significant findings. RUMBA KING, LUCKY TYCOON and NOTUS were sent for sampling.
