Whilst in the saddling stalls, E BROTHER had its right front plate refitted. E BROTHER was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After being loaded into the barriers, AMAZING TEENS became fractious and reared. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING TEENS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Also after being loaded into the barriers, LUCKY ARCHANGEL became fractious, briefly got its left front foot over the front gates and also sat down momentarily. LUCKY ARCHANGEL was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY ARCHANGEL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. YOUNG VICTORY was crowded for room on jumping between AMAZING TEENS and LORD THUNDER which shifted in. COOLCELEB began awkwardly and then despite being ridden along in the early stages was detached from the field for the majority of the race. A veterinary inspection of COOLCELEB immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea and also confirmed it to be a '”roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of COOLCELEB, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, COOLCELEB will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MONSTER KAKA was crowded for room on jumping inside E BROTHER which was bumped by PRIDE OF DRAGON which shifted in. After this, MONSTER KAKA was steadied to obtain cover. From the outside barriers, SPARTAN MISSILE and HK DRAGON were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. Approaching the 900 Metres, MONSTER KAKA was momentarily steadied away from the heels of HK DRAGON which shifted in. HK DRAGON was then left racing wide and without cover after the 800 Metres and lay out making the turns. After the 800 Metres, YOUNG VICTORY raced in restricted room inside STAR OF GLORY which was racing tight inside PRIDE OF DRAGON. Near the 350 Metres, LORD THUNDER got its head on the side and shifted out a number of horses. SPARTAN MISSILE had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 100 Metres and because of this was not able to be fully tested over the concluding stages. Near the 100 Metres, LUCKY ARCHANGEL was steadied to avoid the heels of PRIDE OF DRAGON (K C Leung) which shifted in under pressure. When being steadied, LUCKY ARCHANGEL also shifted out towards the heels of PRIDE OF DRAGON. K C Leung was reprimanded and told that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than he did on this occasion. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY ARCHANGEL and MONSTER KAKA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LORD THUNDER and E BROTHER were sent for sampling.
