DAILY BEAUTY began only fairly.
BRILLIANT CHINA also began fairly and shifted out at the start, resulting in the horse losing ground when having to be steadied away from the heels of COUNTRY BOY which on jumping shifted out and bumped THUNDERSTRIKE.
EASY FORTUNE shifted out on jumping and bumped LAPUTA.
ROMANTIC COMBO began awkwardly.
CASIMIRO was crowded for room on jumping between HAPPY WIN WIN which shifted out and AMIGOS GIGGLE which shifted in abruptly. After this, from wide barriers, HAPPY WIN WIN and CASIMIRO were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, UNIVERSAL HERO was also steadied to obtain cover in the early stages.
Near the 1350 Metres, LAPUTA was momentarily steadied away from the heels of ROMANTIC COMBO which was racing tight inside the heels of AMIGOS GIGGLE.
After the 1300 Metres, ROMANTIC COMBO was steadied away from the heels of AMIGOS GIGGLE (B Shinn) which shifted in when not properly clear. B Shinn was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
EASY FORTUNE lost its left hind plate at the 1300 Metres.
Passing the 1200 Metres, EASY FORTUNE was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of ROMANTIC COMBO which shifted in.
COUNTRY BOY lost its right hind plate after the 1200 Metres.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, ROMANTIC COMBO, which was racing wide and without cover, was taken wider still passing the 800 Metres when KUNG FU TEA was taken out by COUNTRY BOY which improved to the outside of AMIGOS GIGGLE.
At the entrance to the Straight, XIANG YIN was directed out across the heels of THUNDERSTRIKE.
After shifting to the inside of DAILY BEAUTY at the entrance to the Straight, HAPPY WIN WIN was crowded for room inside that horse which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the tightening to HAPPY WIN WIN.
A veterinary inspection of CASIMIRO, BRILLIANT CHINA, EASY FORTUNE and GALLANT CAVALIER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ROMANTIC COMBO, XIANG YIN and COUNTRY BOY were sent for sampling.
