WINNER METHOD was withdrawn on 19.12.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (respiratory infection) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter LITTLE THUNDER (Apprentice C Wong). Before being allowed to race again, WINNER METHOD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WONDER EXPRESS shifted in on jumping and inconvenienced DIAMOND PIXIU. Passing the 400 Metres, GLENEALY GENERALS raced tight between LITTLE THUNDER and VECTOR which shifted in slightly. At the 150 Metres, LITTLE THUNDER was inconvenienced by GLENEALY GENERALS which shifted in under pressure. Approaching the finishing line, GLENEALY GENERALS was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SIGHT HERO which shifted in. After the race, K Teetan stated that FLAMING PASSION, which was having its first race start today, showed good early speed, however, its action deteriorated noticeably over the latter stages which required him to ease the horse down. A veterinary inspection of FLAMING PASSION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FLAMING PASSION, which was second favourite for this event, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FLAMING PASSION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of INFINITE POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CARROLL STREET and FORTE were sent for sampling.
