LUCKY TIME was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY TIME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On arrival at the start, H N Wong expressed concern regarding the action of RIGHT CALL. An examination of RIGHT CALL by the Veterinary Officer could reveal no obvious abnormalities and after the necessary consultations RIGHT CALL was found to be suitable to race. DYNAMIC EAGLE and LET’S TAKE IT EASY bumped at the start. LET’S TAKE IT EASY then became unbalanced and shifted out, resulting in DYNAMIC EAGLE being crowded for room and taken out onto HIGH SPIRIT which was bumped and then steadied when crowded for room inside DUKEDOM. From wide barriers, HAPPY DRAGON and BRAVE LEGEND were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SUPER FORM was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, HIGH SPIRIT got its head up when awkwardly placed behind DYNAMIC EAGLE. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LET’S TAKE IT EASY got its head on the side, lay in and bumped FRIENDS OF KA YING. For some distance after the 1200 Metres, HIGH SPIRIT got its head up on a number of occasions when travelling keenly. After the 500 Metres, RIGHT CALL was taken wider by THUNDER STOMP which shifted out to improve. Near the 75 Metres, O Doleuze (BANK ON RED) dropped his whip. As this was the 3rd occasion this season that O Doleuze had dropped his whip in races, he was placed on notice that should he offend in a similar manner prior to the end of the racing season, further action may be taken. A veterinary inspection of RIGHT CALL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of HIGH SPIRIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. THUNDER STOMP and FRIENDS OF KA YING were sent for sampling.
