KASI FARASI was withdrawn on 3.7.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetence) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter LUCKY HERO (A Sanna). Before being allowed to race again, KASI FARASI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SMART BOY shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of SHAMPORT, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. TENNESSEE BOSS was bumped on jumping by PRINCE HARMONY which shifted in after beginning awkwardly. Shortly after the start, HAPPY LIFE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SUPER LEADER which shifted in. From wide barriers, SMART BOY and TENNESSEE BOSS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, LUCKY HERO failed to muster speed and then in the Back Straight became detached from the field. LUCKY HERO remained detached from the field throughout the race and finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY HERO immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. The performance of LUCKY HERO was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, WONDERFUL JOURNEY momentarily raced tight inside SHANGHAI MASTER which got its head on the side and lay in despite the efforts of its rider. Approaching the 100 Metres, HAPPY LIFE was shifted in from behind PRINCE HARMONY which was giving ground and bumped JOY MASTER which in turn shifted in and bumped SMART BOY. Throughout the race, TENNESSEE BOSS travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of PRINCE HARMONY and SUPER LEADER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ZERO HEDGE and SHANGHAI MASTER were sent for sampling.
