As the start was effected, GREAT JOY bounded in the air, resulting in the horse losing a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT JOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. GREAT TREASURE was slow to begin and then despite being ridden along failed to muster speed. G-ONE LOVER shifted out at the start and bumped STARLIGHT. From the outside barrier, BORN TO RACE was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Passing the 400 Metres, GREAT JOY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EXPONENTS when attempting to improve outside that horse which shifted out after initially being taken out by NOTED PERFORMER. Throughout the race, DIVINE DIYA travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. The performance of DIVINE DIYA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DIVINE DIYA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of GOLD DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. G-ONE LOVER and CITY LEGEND were sent for sampling.
