WILLIE CAZALS was withdrawn on 2.11.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, WILLIE CAZALS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BLAZING SPEED and SAME WORLD were crowded for room at the start between ASHKIYR and SCARLET CAMELLIA which shifted out. TAKNAM began awkwardly. Near the 1650 Metres, SAME WORLD became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by DESTINED FOR GLORY. Passing the 1500 Metres, ASHKIYR was shifted in across the heels of AUTUMN GOLD. SAME WORLD was left racing wide and without cover near the 1300 Metres. Passing the 100 Metres, DESTINED FOR GLORY momentarily raced tight inside BLAZING SPEED which shifted in. When questioned, A Suborics stated that he had been instructed to attempt to ride BEAUTY LEAD in 3rd or 4th position with cover but not to push the horse to do so. He said BEAUTY LEAD began well, however, a considerable number of horses, which were drawn inside BEAUTY LEAD, were ridden along in the early stages to take up positions and he felt that the only way he would have obtained a forward position was to ride the horse along which would have been in contrary to his instructions. He said consequently he made the decision to shift BEAUTY LEAD across behind runners and obtain a position with cover which he was able to do near the 1400 Metres. He added after following AUTUMN GOLD throughout the race, BEAUTY LEAD stayed on one-paced in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of MIZANI immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MIZANI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ENDOWING and BLAZING SPEED were sent for sampling.
