From wide barriers, HOLLYWOOD KISS and SABINA were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the 1600 Metres, FLYING KEEPER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIZZEN GREY. The Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reason for G Mossé being dislodged from MR MARFACH passing the 1100 Metres due to G Mossé being transported to hospital. When G Mossé was dislodged from MR MARFACH, MR MARFACH shifted out and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of SABINA which became badly unbalanced. SUNSEEKER, which was following MR MARFACH, was checked and lost ground and HOLLYWOOD KISS, which was also following MR MARFACH, was severely checked and lost a considerable amount of ground. Near the 900 Metres, SUNSEEKER was checked and lost ground when crowded for room inside the riderless MR MARFACH. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, HOLLYWOOD KISS and SUNSEEKER were further inconvenienced when taken wider by the riderless horse. Near the 250 Metres, DARK SECRET was checked and shifted to the outside of MIZZEN GREY when disappointed for running between that horse and SABINA which shifted out under pressure. As the Stewards were of the opinion that DARK SECRET had not established running between SABINA and MIZZEN GREY, no further action was taken. HUMONGUS was badly held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and near the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of the heels of SUPREME TYCOON to obtain clear running. Approaching the 250 Metres, A Suborics (CHINA DELIGHT) dropped his whip. A Suborics was advised of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels all the way to the finish where circumstances permit. Throughout the race, LUCKY ARMY travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of HOLLYWOOD KISS and MR MARFACH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HOLLYWOOD KISS, DARK SECRET and MIZZEN GREY were sent for sampling. <5/7/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, MR MARFACH was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. MR MARFACH was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer L Ho this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MR MARFACH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
