JAZZA BELL shifted in at the start and hampered GOOD UNCLE. SILVER GRECIAN was slow to begin. For some distance after the 1000 Metres, WEALTHY MAN proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAJESTIC FALCON. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, CHATER WAY got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of GOOD UNCLE. JAZZA BELL, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of CHATER WAY in consequence. A short distance after this, GOOD UNCLE became unbalanced when bumped by FULFIL A WISH. For some distance near the 800 Metres, JAZZA BELL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHATER WAY. After the 800 Metres, TURF EXPRESS was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 700 Metres, CHATER WAY, which continued to race with its head on the side, was shifted out across the heels of GOOD UNCLE which shifted in marginally. Rounding the Home Turn, CHATER WAY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOOD UNCLE. NOBLE ALPHA was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and then for some distance after the 300 Metres raced in restricted room between CROWN WITNESS and VIVA PRONTO. Then near the 150 Metres, NOBLE ALPHA was steadied when disappointed for running between CROWN WITNESS and VIVA PRONTO which shifted out. Over the final 200 Metres, MAJESTIC FALCON hung in and over the concluding stages proved particularly difficult to ride. For some distance after the 200 Metres, CHATER WAY had difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the concluding stages, NOBLE ALPHA raced tight inside VIVA PRONTO and because of this was not able to be ridden out to the end of the race. In the Straight, WEALTHY MAN got its head on the side and hung out. A veterinary inspection of CROWN WITNESS and NOBLE ALPHA after the race did not show any significant findings. CROWN WITNESS, MAJESTIC FALCON and FULFIL A WISH were sent for sampling.
