SUPER GOODIES was crowded for room at the start between DANE PATROL and HORSE APLENTY which got its head on the side and shifted out. From the outside barriers, NEW GLORY and MERACUS were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After taking preliminary evidence from all relevant parties, an inquiry into the reason for REAL SUPREME being hampered and FATBOY SUGAR being checked at the 900 Metres was adjourned until prior to the Happy Valley racemeeting next Wednesday, 23 November 2011 due to Mr C H Yip, the allocated trainer of Apprentice K C Ng (TAVERNER), being unable to remain on course until the conclusion of the inquiry. When FATBOY SUGAR was checked, it shifted out abruptly across the heels of TAVERNER, resulting in REAL SUPREME being crowded for room when taken out onto GENKI MOOCHI, causing both those horses to be taken wider. HAPPY FOREVER, which was following FATBOY SUGAR, was checked in consequence and shifted out, resulting in HORSE APLENTY being checked when crowded for room inside NEW GLORY. In this incident, NEW GLORY was also checked away from the heels of REAL SUPREME. After this, FATBOY SUGAR and GENKI MOOCHI both travelled wide and without cover. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, SADDLERS LODGE was steadied away from the heels of MERACUS which shifted in when barely clear. At the entrance to the Straight, SUPER GOODIES shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of TAVERNER which became unbalanced. A short distance later, SUPER GOODIES raced in restricted room between TAVERNER and REGENCY LUCK which shifted out. HAPPY FOREVER had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. A veterinary inspection of GENKI MOOCHI after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREME JEWELLERY, TAVERNER and HAPPY FOREVER were sent for sampling.
