Just prior to the gates being released, AMBITIOUS DRAGON became fractious and then was slow to begin. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, GITANO HERNANDO momentarily raced in restricted room between IRIAN and KING DANCER which was taken out by SEMOS. Also passing the winning post on the first occasion, RIVER JETEZ and SEMOS bumped. Near the 1800 Metres, DESTINED FOR GLORY got its head up and proved very difficult to settle when being steadied to allow SAPELLI to cross. After this, DESTINED FOR GLORY shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SAPELLI, resulting in RIVER JETEZ being crowded for room inside SEMOS. Near the 1600 Metres, KING DANCER was steadied away from the heels of RIVER JETEZ which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of VIVA PATACA. SEMOS travelled wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres. Near the 100 Metres, RIVER JETEZ, which shifted in, was steadied away from the heels of VIVA PATACA which shifted out slightly. A veterinary inspection of WIGMORE HALL after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of DESTINED FOR GLORY after the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was not able to be scoped. AMBITIOUS DRAGON and CALIFORNIA MEMORY were sent for sampling.
