HAPPY EAGLE and MOUNT VICTORY were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, COMPACT YARN and COUNTRY MAGIC bumped, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Also shortly after the start, SUPER GENKI was steadied away from the heels of CLASSIC BOY which shifted out. O Doleuze (GILDED FLIGHT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the winning post on the first occasion he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of COUNTRY MAGIC, causing that horse to be checked when crowded for room and losing the running to which it was rightfully entitled. O Doleuze was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 31 March 2011 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Dubai racemeeting on Saturday, 26 March 2011. In addition, O Doleuze was fined $40,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating 1 further raceday. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, COUNTRY MAGIC was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 1300 Metres, SUPREME TYCOON was steadied away from the heels of CLASSIC BOY which shifted in. Shortly after entering into the Straight, AMAZING VENTURE was steadied away from the heels of COUNTRY MAGIC which shifted out when giving ground. Close to the finishing line, SUPER GENKI raced tight inside SUPREME TYCOON which shifted in. CLASSIC BOY and COMPACT YARN were sent for sampling.
