EYSHAL was checked at the start when crowded for room between NOBLE CONQUEROR and TUSCAN SPRIT which shifted in after beginning awkwardly and knuckling over. In the early stages, FLEET COMMAND proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions and near the 1400 Metres shifted in and bumped YOUNG ELITE which became unbalanced. Then throughout the race, FLEET COMMAND travelled wide and without cover. Near the 1300 Metres, SUNNY KING proved difficult to settle and got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of BLUE SKY. Approaching the 800 Metres, NOBLE CONQUEROR was checked away from the heels of SUNNY KING. Near the 300 Metres, YUMMY SPIRITS raced tight inside ROMA PEGASUS which shifted in when commencing to weaken. SUNNY KING was not able to obtain clear running until near the 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection of EYSHAL after the race did not show any significant findings. YOUNG ELITE, YUMMY SPIRITS and JACKPOT DELIGHT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that UNIQUE JEWELLERY had bled from both nostrils.
