TOP SPEED was slow to begin. C W Wong (HONEST TREASURE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 800 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of GOOD JOB, causing that horse to be checked and lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. C W Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Sunday, 13 June 2010 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 6 June 2010. In addition, C W Wong was fined $10,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating one further raceday. At the 200 Metres, GOOD JOB became unbalanced after being bumped by SOLITAIRE which shifted out. Throughout the race, DAYLIGHT EXPRESS travelled wide and without cover. SUGAR ON TOP and SEIZE THE DAY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that HONEST TREASURE had lost its left hind plate and the Veterinary Surgeon reported that an endoscopic examination of TREASURE HUNT including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TREASURE HUNT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
