NO MORE GREEN was withdrawn on 23.3.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GLENEALY ELITE. Before being allowed to race again, NO MORE GREEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SPEEDY STAR began awkwardly and lost ground. GLENEALY ELITE began awkwardly. MASTER GUNNER was slow to begin. Rounding the first turn, ALWAYS GIGGLE shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BUTTERFIELD, resulting in ONE WEE ACORN being taken wider. Then near the 600 Metres, ALWAYS GIGGLE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of ONE WEE ACORN which became unbalanced. Over the final 200 Metres, TRUE INTELLIGENCE shifted out and brushed NEW GLORY on a number of occasions. A veterinary inspection of SPEEDY STAR after the race revealed that the horse had bled from both nostrils. NEW GLORY and TRUE INTELLIGENCE were sent for sampling.
