BOLERO was slow to begin. YOUNG SUPREME began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, MEGA raced tight between COSMO ONE and MIGHTY GAINS which shifted out. After this, MEGA, from a wide barrier, was taken across behind runners. Approaching the 800 Metres, HAPPY GOAL shifted in and bumped CHINA GOOD which became unbalanced. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, both HAPPY GOAL and MEGA hung out. Near the 550 Metres, YOUNG SUPREME and COSMO ONE raced tight. Approaching the 500 Metres, YOUNG SUPREME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIGHTY GAINS. Near the 150 Metres, COSMO ONE was momentarily awkwardly placed between YOUNG SUPREME and CHINA GOOD, both of which shifted ground marginally. Near the 100 Metres, COSMO ONE was shifted out away from the heels of YOUNG SUPREME. A veterinary inspection of MEGA immediately following the race revealed the horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported. SPICY SHRIMP and HIGHLAND DRAGON were sent for sampling.
