ZONE D (D415): As the start was effected stood flat-footed and lost a considerable amount of ground. As this was the second consecutive occasion that ZONE D had performed in a similar manner, the horse will be required to perform satisfactorily in a series of consecutive barrier trials before being allowed to race again. Near the 1300 Metres improved to the inside of DEVILDOM (L Ferraris) and was steadied when crowded by that runner before DEVILDOM was corrected by its rider L Ferraris. L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BRAVE DREAMS (G156): Approaching the 50 Metres was positioned close to the heels of E LEGEND which shifted out slightly. DEVILDOM (H445): Crowded at the start. SPLENDID LIVING (E192): Approaching the 100 Metres shifted out before being corrected by its rider L Hewitson. Sent for sampling post-race. E LEGEND (G028): No report. BRILLIANT WAY (G215): Sent for sampling post-race. LEAN HERO (G402): No report. BIG RED (H299): Jumped only fairly. NICHOLSON RETURNS (E452): No report. HK DRAGON (E222): Jumped awkwardly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. JUNE PLANET (H080): Crowded at the start. When being shifted towards the rail near the 1500 Metres became unbalanced when being corrected by its rider M Chadwick and as a consequence lost ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, JUNE PLANET will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PEGASUS GENERAL (G189): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1400 Metres was steadied away from DEVILDOM which, after shifting in towards ZONE D, then shifted out and away from that runner.
