ATOMIC FORCE (G221): Lay in in the Home Straight when placed under pressure. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NOT USUAL STAR (G396): After the race, L Ferraris stated that he was asked to take up a forward position on his mount, but not lead. He said after NOT USUAL STAR commenced well and he was caught wide in the early stages, he elected to allow his mount to stride forward and lead to avoid covering additional ground.
EXCELLENT PEERS (G033): No report.
SIXTH GENERATION (G120): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BRAVE STAR (G268): Over-raced throughout the early and middle stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
GOLDEN ARTIE (G434): Sent for sampling post-race.
KYRUS DRAGON (H396): In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 800 Metres was steadied away from ATOMIC FORCE. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of B Avdulla, 7th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.
SMOKEY BEAR (E126): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
JUMBO FORTUNE (G195): Jumped only fairly. Near the 150 Metres improved into a narrow run between DESERT STAR and SIXTH GENERATION and as a result made contact with DESERT STAR at that point. Approaching the 100 Metres was then directed to the inside of KYRUS DRAGON to continue into clear running.
STREET CONQUEROR (H341): After the race, K Teetan stated that from the 500 Metres he was unable to proceed forward when positioned behind GOLDEN ARTIE, but then when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding in the same manner as it had done in its previous two starts. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
