CHEONG FAT was withdrawn on 16.5.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (head trauma) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAPPY SOUL (K Teetan). Before being allowed to race again, CHEONG FAT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LIKE THAT jumped only fairly. On jumping, SURE JOYFUL was taken in when positioned tight to the inside of E UNIVERSE and as a result made contact with YOUNG LIFE FOREVER which then became crowded for room between SURE JOYFUL and TACTICAL COMMAND. From the outside barriers, G LINER and SUPER ELITE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From a wide barrier, SPEEDY CHARIOT was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the middle stages, G LINER raced ungenerously and for some distance near the 800 Metres got its head up when being restrained away from the heels of TRAVEL GOLF. Passing the 800 Metres, TRAVEL GOLF also commenced to race keenly and shifted out when positioned close to the heels of HARMONY N HOME. Near the 600 Metres, HARMONY N HOME was steadied away from TACTICAL COMMAND. A short distance later, TRAVEL GOLF was taken wider when HARMONY N HOME shifted to the outside of TACTICAL COMMAND to improve. After the 600 Metres, SURE JOYFUL was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 300 Metres, SURE JOYFUL was inclined to lay in and was positioned close to the heels of YOUNG LIFE FOREVER for a short distance thereafter. A veterinary inspection of HARMONY N HOME and TRAVEL GOLF immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HARMONY N HOME, E UNIVERSE and YOUNG LIFE FOREVER were sent for sampling.
