SALUTATION shifted out on jumping and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of WHAT A LEGEND. WINNING ICEY began awkwardly and then was crowded for room between HAPPY FOREVER which shifted out and HURRY HURRY GAIN which on jumping bumped with JIANGXI STAMINA. After this, WINNING ICEY and HURRY HURRY GAIN were steadied to obtain cover. Also in the early stages, JIANGXI STAMINA and UNITED ENDEAVORS were steadied to obtain cover from wide barriers. Approaching the 1100 Metres, SALUTATION was awkwardly placed inside the heels of WHAT A LEGEND. After the 900 Metres, HAPPY FOREVER was left racing wide and without cover. SALUTATION made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly. JIANGXI STAMINA made the Home Turn awkwardly. Approaching the 100 Metres, WINNING ICEY was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of WHAT A LEGEND. When questioned, K Teetan stated that, from the outside barrier, he was asked to ride PERFECT PEACH positively in the early stages to ensure that the horse did not get too far out of its ground. He said in accordance with his instructions he rode PERFECT PEACH along in the early stages, however, PERFECT PEACH was left racing wide and without cover outside HAPPY FOREVER after the 1100 Metres. He said as he felt like he would have had to do too much work to continue forward of runners to his inside to obtain a position closer to the rail, he elected to steady his mount after the 1000 Metres to obtain a position with cover behind HAPPY FOREVER. He added that PERFECT PEACH, which was having only its 4th race start tonight, raced greenly and then when coming under pressure prior to the 400 Metres lay in towards the heels of SALUTATION which resulted in PERFECT PEACH being awkwardly placed behind that horse. He said in the Straight PERFECT PEACH then did not finish the race off. He added that, in his opinion, the circumstances of tonight’s race did not provide PERFECT PEACH with the opportunity to close the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection of PERFECT PEACH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, it was reported that HURRY HURRY GAIN had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY FOREVER and WHAT A LEGEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. VALIANT ELEGANCE and AMBITIOUS HEART were sent for sampling.
