JOYFUL WIN shifted out at the start and bumped HARMONY FIRE. After this, despite being vigorously ridden along, JOYFUL WIN was slow to muster speed. TRIPLE TRIPLE bumped the outside of its gate on jumping and consequently began only fairly. EIGHT TRIGRAMS was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. In the Straight, JUMBO GOAL (M L Yeung) lay in and approaching the 50 Metres brushed the running rail. Close to the finishing line, TRIPLE TRIPLE shifted in away from JOYFUL WIN which resulted in HARMONY FIRE racing tight inside TRIPLE TRIPLE after being brushed by that horse. JUMBO GOAL, which was racing inside HARMONY FIRE and continuing to lay in, got its head on the side and shifted in away from HARMONY FIRE and in doing so bumped the running rail. When JUMBO GOAL bumped the running rail, M L Yeung’s right foot was injured after hitting the rail. On pulling up, M L Yeung dismounted from JUMBO GOAL. M L Yeung was subsequently stood down from his remaining race riding engagements by the Club’s Chief Medical Officer. WHIZZ KID and SPECIAL M were sent for sampling.
