As the start was effected, CASA KINGDOM reared and consequently lost ground. Before being allowed to race again, CASA KINGDOM will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
EVEN KEEL began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE, PEARL CHAMPION and ALL THE WAY were shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.
Passing the 1100 Metres, EASY FORTUNE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of ZACIAN.
Near the 1050 Metres, BRAVE POWER and EVEN KEEL bumped, resulting in EVEN KEEL becoming unbalanced. After this, EVEN KEEL, which travelled wide and without cover, raced tight outside BRAVE POWER.
Passing the 700 Metres, EVER JOY was steadied away from the heels of SEA MONARCH. ISLAND SUNSHINE, which was racing outside the heels of EVER JOY, was hampered in consequence. ZACIAN, which was following ISLAND SUNSHINE, was shifted to the inside of that horse, resulting in BRAVE POWER, which was following ZACIAN, losing ground when being steadied away from the heels of that horse. At this time, ZACIAN lost its left hind plate. When BRAVE POWER was steadied, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE was inconvenienced.
Approaching the 600 Metres, PEARL CHAMPION raced tight outside ALL THE WAY which improved into tight running to the outside of SMILING FACE.
At the entrance to the Straight, SEA MONARCH lay out and inconvenienced EVER JOY.
EASY FORTUNE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and then bumped ZACIAN near the 350 Metres when improving into tight running between that horse and EVER JOY.
SMILING FACE was held up for clear running passing the 300 Metres.
Approaching the 200 Metres, SEA MONARCH was inconvenienced by EVER JOY which shifted in under pressure.
Passing the 150 Metres, EVER JOY was momentarily steadied when tightened for room inside EASY FORTUNE which shifted in.
BRAVE POWER and ZACIAN were sent for sampling.
