TRIPLE TRIPLE was withdrawn on 15.11.21 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter ASTROLOGER. Before being allowed to race again, TRIPLE TRIPLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PROPICE lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly. DECISIVE TWELVE and ESCAPE ROUTE were crowded for room on jumping between RESOLUTE and MAGIC PHOENIX, both of which shifted ground. METRO WARRIOR stumbled at the start, shifted in and bumped AMAZING ROCKY, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. From a wide barrier, ASTROLOGER was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. Approaching the 700 Metres, DECISIVE TWELVE commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed outside the heels of RESOLUTE. Approaching the 600 Metres, HARMONY FIRE was eased away from the heels of HEART CONQUERED which shifted in. ESCAPE ROUTE lay out approaching the 400 Metres. Passing the 200 Metres, the whip of C L Chau (HEART CONQUERED) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of C Schofield (METRO WARRIOR). Throughout the race, METRO WARRIOR travelled wide and without cover. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on AMAZING ROCKY at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING ROCKY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of PROPICE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ASTROLOGER and HARMONY FIRE were sent for sampling.
