GO BALLISTIC and GORGEOUS INHERITOR bumped at the start. KA FORTUNE was crowded for room on jumping between WINNING GENGHIS which shifted out and AEROSONIC which began awkwardly and shifted in. KA YING BRILLIANCE began only fairly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when having to be shifted out away from the heels of CALIFORNIA LEGEND which shifted out. This resulted in KA YING BRILLIANCE racing back in the field in the early stages. RUBY STARS began awkwardly. From wide barriers, KEEP WINNING, FIGURES TWO and GENERAL DINO were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the early stages, VEGA RHYTHM travelled wide and without cover and after the 1200 Metres was ridden along to obtain a more forward position closer to the rail. Passing the 1200 Metres, WINNING GENGHIS was crowded for room between AEROSONIC and GORGEOUS INHERITOR which raced tight outside GO BALLISTIC which improved to be racing outside the heels of RUN DES RUN which shifted out. Passing the 1100 Metres, GO BALLISTIC was awkwardly placed outside the heels of RUN DES RUN which shifted out. After the 1100 Metres, WINNING GENGHIS was momentarily crowded for room between GORGEOUS INHERITOR which shifted out and AEROSONIC which lay in away from VEGA RHYTHM. Approaching the turn near the 700 Metres, KA FORTUNE and GO BALLISTIC raced tight. WINNING GENGHIS travelled wide and without cover until near the 700 Metres. CALIFORNIA LEGEND had some difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 400 Metres and then near the 300 Metres became unbalanced when improving into tight running between KA FORTUNE and RUN DES RUN which shifted out. After the 150 Metres, CALIFORNIA LEGEND raced tight inside KA FORTUNE which shifted in under pressure, resulting in RUN DES RUN, which was racing to the inside of CALIFORNIA LEGEND, racing tight with KA YING BRILLIANCE. When KA FORTUNE was corrected and shifted out away from CALIFORNIA LEGEND, GENERAL DINO and FIGURES TWO were inconvenienced. KA YING BRILLIANCE was then inconvenienced when eased away from the heels of CALIFORNIA LEGEND near the 100 Metres. Throughout the race, AEROSONIC and GORGEOUS INHERITOR travelled wide and without cover. The performances of GORGEOUS INHERITOR, AEROSONIC and VEGA RHYTHM, all of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GORGEOUS INHERITOR, AEROSONIC and VEGA RHYTHM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of RUN DES RUN, GORGEOUS INHERITOR, AEROSONIC, KA YING BRILLIANCE and VEGA RHYTHM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KA YING BRILLIANCE, LUCKY VICTOR and RUBY STARS were sent for sampling.
