As the start was effected, UNIVERSAL GO GO turned its head to the left and consequently missed the start. At the start, SUPREME PLUS was crowded for room between TELECOM PUMA and FORTUNE CARRIER, both of which shifted ground. Soon after the start, HERCULES momentarily raced tight between VIVA POPCORN and TELECOM PUMA, both of which shifted ground. From wide barriers, GRACYLOVE and FOREVER CITY were steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages. VIVA POPCORN made the first turn awkwardly. On the first turn after the 1000 Metres, FORTUNE CARRIER, which was being steadied, was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of INFINITE POWER. After the 600 Metres, TELECOM PUMA improved to be racing close to the heels of FORTUNE CARRIER and then making the turn approaching the 500 Metres shifted out from behind that horse. VIVA POPCORN, which was following, also became awkward and ran wide on the turn near the 500 Metres. This enabled HERCULES to immediately improve inside VIVA POPCORN. VIVA POPCORN then got its head on the side and lay out approaching the Home Turn and in the Straight gave ground. After being disappointed for running between FORTUNE CARRIER and VIVA CHEF at the 200 Metres, SUPERB DADDY was then directed to the inside of the heels of FORTUNE CARRIER to continue improving. Over the concluding stages, FOREVER CITY was not able to be tested after improving to be racing close to the heels of FORTUNE CARRIER. When questioned, Z Purton stated that FORTUNE CARRIER is still quite inexperienced and after becoming awkward on the first turn near the heels of INFINITE POWER, FORTUNE CARRIER again made the turn near the 500 Metres awkwardly. He said when placed under pressure in the early part of the Straight, FORTUNE CARRIER shifted ground on a number of occasions and then did not close off the race. He added that he suggested to connections that they might consider dropping the horse back in distance to 1000 Metres as it may be better suited to a shorter distance at this stage of its career. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE CARRIER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of TELECOM PUMA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FORTUNE CARRIER, HERCULES and SUPERB DADDY were sent for sampling. <4/2/2021 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FOREVER CITY was lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FOREVER CITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
