BULLISH GLORY began only fairly.
GREAT TIMES shifted in at the start and made contact with VICTORIOUS SEEKER.
From wide barriers, PRETTY BAUHINIA, GOOD DAYS and SKY GEM were all shifted across behind runners soon after the start.
GREAT TIMES travelled wide and without cover throughout the early and middle stages, then came under pressure along the Back Straight to maintain its position and consequently weakened noticeably and finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of GREAT TIMES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of GREAT TIMES was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT TIMES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Approaching the 400 Metres, BULLISH GLORY was steadied when momentarily crowded for room between HAY RUN which shifted out slightly as it came under pressure and EXALTATION which lay in.
Just prior to straightening, SKY GEM lay in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of CROWN AVENUE which was being directed to the outside of the heels of DYNAMIC EAGLE to improve.
In the Straight, PEACH BLOSSOMS lay in and raced close to the running rail.
DYNAMIC EAGLE and EXALTATION were sent for sampling.
