Steward Report Predict Pace Map
KA YING BRILLIANCE shifted in at the start and bumped TELECOM ROCKET. IMPECCABLE FELLOW began awkwardly. LUCKY VICTOR shifted out at the start and hampered HERCULES. After this, HERCULES was shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier. From the outside barriers, THIS ONE’S FOR YOU, PARTY EVERYDAY and KA FORTUNE were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. BLADE RACER travelled wide and without cover in the early stages when being ridden along to obtain the lead near the 1000 Metres. After the 800 Metres, KA FORTUNE raced tight outside GENERAL DINO which improved to be racing outside JADE FORTUNE. Also after the 800 Metres, PARTY EVERYDAY was left racing wide and without cover. Rounding the Home Turn, KA YING BRILLIANCE got its head on the side and shifted out away from TELECOM ROCKET, resulting in KA YING BRILLIANCE being awkwardly placed inside the heels of THIS ONE’S FOR YOU. Near the 350 Metres, IMPECCABLE FELLOW momentarily raced tight between BLADE RACER and TELECOM ROCKET which lay in before being directed out to relieve the tightening to IMPECCABLE FELLOW. J Moreira (THIS ONE’S FOR YOU) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 250 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of JADE FORTUNE, resulting in that horse being checked away from the heels of THIS ONE’S FOR YOU and losing the running to which it was rightfully entitled. J Moreira was suspended from riding in races for the racemeeting to be conducted at Sha Tin on Wednesday, 27 May 2020. As such, J Moreira is eligible to resume race riding on Thursday, 28 May 2020. In addition, Jockey Moreira was fined $75,000. Passing the 100 Metres, TELECOM ROCKET shifted out abruptly under pressure, requiring its rider to stop riding and straighten his mount. PARTY EVERYDAY lay out over the concluding stages. Throughout the race, SMILING CITY travelled wide and without cover. The performance of BLADE RACER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BLADE RACER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of BLADE RACER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LUCKY VICTOR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. As this was the second occasion that LUCKY VICTOR had finished tailed out, the Stewards ruled that that horse must undergo a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY VICTOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of JADE FORTUNE and STRATHCLYDE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of KA YING BRILLIANCE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. JADE FORTUNE, THIS ONE’S FOR YOU and PARTY EVERYDAY were sent for sampling.
