AMAZING began very awkwardly and then along with ONE STEP AHEAD was shifted across from wide barriers soon after the start to obtain cover. VICTORY MASTERY shifted out at the start and bumped SMART WONGCHOY which became unbalanced and lost ground. HAPPY GOOD GUYS lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly, After travelling a short distance, COLORADO HIGH shifted out, resulting in YICHUN BLITZ being taken out onto ARES. At the entrance to the Back Straight, SMART WONGCHOY, which was racing ungenerously and laying in, shifted in, resulting in YICHUN BLITZ being taken in onto COLORADO HIGH which was inconvenienced. When racing wide and without cover along the Back Straight, SMART WONGCHOY continued to lay in, raced keenly and brushed with YICHUN BLITZ on several occasions. SMART WONGCHOY continued to lay in and made contact with YICHUN BLITZ on two further occasions after the 500 Metres. After racing wide and without cover throughout the event, SMART WONGCHOY came under pressure at the entrance to the Straight, got its head on the side and commenced to hang in badly. Due to its racing manners, SMART WONGCHOY was checked away from the heels of THE SHOW passing the 200 Metres. The racing manners of SMART WONGCHOY were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SMART WONGCHOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend. A veterinary inspection of SMART WONGCHOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. For some distance approaching and passing the 900 Metres, REGENCY POET proved very difficult to settle and was checked away from the heels of HAPPY GOOD GUYS. Approaching the 700 Metres, COLORADO HIGH shifted out and bumped ARES which was inconvenienced. After shifting out towards the heels of THE SHOW after the 100 Metres, ONE STEP AHEAD was straightened by its rider. Following the race, J Moreira reported that VICTORY MASTERY raced "flat” in tonight’s race and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection of VICTORY MASTERY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of COLORADO HIGH immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from its left nostril. An endoscopic examination of COLORADO HIGH confirmed that horse to be a bleeder. HAPPY GOOD GUYS and ARES were sent for sampling.
