LUCKY WIN WIN began only fairly and then was shifted away from the heels of SURE SUPREME on jumping. VICTOR EMPEROR and PEACE ON EARTH bumped at the start. From the outside barriers, VICTOR EMPEROR, PEACE ON EARTH and RUN MOOCHI were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. Making the first turn near the 850 Metres, RUN MOOCHI, which in the early stages got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover, commenced to travel keenly and was checked away from the heels of OUR HONOUR which lost ground when laying out. In this incident, RUN MOOCHI shifted in away from the heels of OUR HONOUR and bumped VICTOR EMPEROR. After this, OUR HONOUR, when racing wide and without cover, continued to lay out, particularly rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight. Near the 250 Metres, JOYFUL FOREVER and OTOUTO bumped. A short distance after this, JOYFUL FOREVER raced in restricted room between OTOUTO and DIAMOND LEGEND which shifted out. This resulted in JOYFUL FOREVER becoming unbalanced, shifting out and making further contact with OTOUTO. The performance of LUCKY WIN WIN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY WIN WIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY WIN WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. OTOUTO and DIAMOND LEGEND .were sent for sampling.
