ENJOYABLE SUCCESS was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, BRING IT ON was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When being steadied to obtain cover from a wide barrier, EVER LAUGH was bumped on jumping by BEAUTY DAY which shifted in. Shortly after the start, ENJOY LIFE was steadied away from the heels of MARVEL JOY which was taken out by COME ON WONGCHOY. Despite being vigorously ridden for some distance in the early stages, LET US WIN failed to muster speed. Near the 1050 Metres, INDIGENOUS STAR raced tight inside MASTER BERNINI which raced tight inside ELUSIVE STATE (C Schofield) which shifted in. C Schofield was advised to ensure that he provides comfortable racing room for runners on his inside in similar circumstances. After being left racing wide and without cover in the early stages, COME ON WONGCHOY was allowed to improve its position after the 1000 Metres to obtain a more forward position. COME ON WONGCHOY was required to be ridden along to clear MARVEL JOY which improved its position to be racing between BEAUTY DAY and COME ON WONGCHOY. COME ON WONGCHOY was then able to shift in to race outside BEAUTY DAY after the 700 Metres. Near the 550 Metres, MASTER BERNINI raced tight between INDIGENOUS STAR and ELUSIVE STATE. At the 400 Metres, ENJOY LIFE became unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BRING IT ON (C Y Ho) which shifted out. C Y Ho was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. After the 400 Metres, MASTER BERNINI was awkwardly placed behind COME ON WONGCHOY which commenced to give ground. Passing the 350 Metres, INDIGENOUS STAR was held up for clear running. Passing the 300 Metres, INDIGENOUS STAR was bumped by GENERAL DINO which attempted to shift to the outside of MARVEL JOY which was commencing to give ground. When unable to improve outside of MARVEL JOY, GENERAL DINO was awkwardly placed behind that horse for some distance. A veterinary inspection of MARVEL JOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LE PANACHE, ELUSIVE STATE and BEAUTY DAY were sent for sampling.
