JUMBO LUCK began awkwardly. RIVET began only fairly. BALTIC WHISPER lost its right hind plate near the 950 Metres. Passing the 100 Metres, MY DARLING was shifted in a number of horses to obtain clear running. Passing the 50 Metres, DANCES WITH DRAGON had some difficulty obtaining clear running and then over the concluding stages raced tight outside BALTIC WHISPER. After the race, Z Purton reported that BALTIC WHISPER shortened stride over the concluding stages and did not feel comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of BALTIC WHISPER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, BALTIC WHISPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of HOUSE OF FUN immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, HOUSE OF FUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BALTIC WHISPER, JUMBO LUCK and ARCHIPPUS were sent for sampling.
