JADE THEATRE began only fairly, shifted in at the start and bumped the hindquarters of WONDERFUL JOURNEY which became unbalanced. FLYING QUEST was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the outside rail. Shortly after the start, GENERAL IRON was awkwardly placed outside the heels of DRAGON GENERAL which got its head on the side and shifted out away from OCEAN ROAR after racing tight outside that horse which was racing tight to the outside of BEAUTY MASTER. After this, both OCEAN ROAR and DRAGON GENERAL were ridden to obtain a forward position, however, failed to muster speed. Passing the 600 Metres, PRIMERO became badly unbalanced of its own accord. After the 500 Metres, JADE THEATRE shifted in and bumped FLYING QUEST. Over the final 200 Metres, BEAUTY MASTER lay in under pressure and passing the 100 Metres shifted in and brushed MOMENTUM LUCKY. After the 100 Metres, VICTORY MARVEL shifted in away from the heels of WONDERFUL JOURNEY to continue improving. A veterinary inspection of DALRADIAN and VICTORY MARVEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. PREMIERE, MOMENTUM LUCKY and BEAUTY MASTER were sent for sampling.
