RUGBY DIAMOND and NO LAUGHING MATTER bumped on jumping. POWER DRAGON and STARRY STARLIES began only fairly. SOCCER BRAVE began awkwardly. When being steadied to obtain cover approaching and passing the 800 Metres, BORN DRAGON proved very difficult to settle and got its head up for some distance. Making the turn near the 700 Metres, FLYING CAPTAIN was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 75 Metres, ATOMIC BLAST was shifted out away from the heels of POWER DRAGON and then passing the 50 Metres was directed out away from the heels of BORN DRAGON to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection of FLYING CAPTAIN and PARENTAL SPIRIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SLEDGE HAMMER and GIDDY GIDDY were sent for sampling.
