WINNING NOVEL began awkwardly and lost ground. OYSTER began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of OWNERS’ GLORY which became unbalanced. FULL OF FUN began awkwardly and then making the turn after the winning post on the first occasion got its head on the side and lay out. SURE CHAMP was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the early and middle stages, OWNERS’ GLORY travelled wide and without cover. After the 800 Metres, MIGHTY K and OYSTER raced tight as MIGHTY K shifted away from the rail. Then passing the 600 Metres, MIGHTY K and OYSTER bumped on a number of occasions as MIGHTY K improved into tight running between that horse and FULL OF FUN. At the entrance to the Straight, GRAND HARBOUR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PERFECT MOMENT and then in the early part of the Straight raced in restricted room when improving into tight running inside PERFECT MOMENT which was giving ground. A veterinary inspection of JOY TOGETHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of PERFECT MOMENT immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PERFECT MOMENT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MIGHTY K and OYSTER were sent for sampling.
