SMART PLANET was checked on jumping when crowded for room between ORIENTAL PROSPER and ART OF SUCCESS, both of which shifted ground. GO GO WIN was slow to begin. GRIMMY began awkwardly and lost ground. As the start was effected, PRETTY ONE lifted its front feet off the ground and began awkwardly. SKY FAR travelled keenly in the early stages. Near the 400 Metres, GOLD TALENT, which was racing greenly, was steadied away from the heels of BRILLIANT SHINE which got its head on the side and shifted in. Near the 200 Metres, MASTER SOMMELIER got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure, resulting in its rider changing his whip into his left hand. A veterinary inspection of SKY FAR immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SKY FAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ART OF SUCCESS and ORIENTAL PROSPER were sent for sampling.
