Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages, REAL GENEROUS failed to muster speed. Passing the 1100 Metres, NOBLE ALPHA commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of SEA DIAMOND. For some distance prior to and after the 1000 Metres, SEA DIAMOND and FLAGSHIP SHINE raced tight and made contact on a number of occasions. NOBLE ALPHA had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. FLASH KNIGHT was unable to obtain clear running until near the 300 Metres. Passing the 100 Metres, FLASH KNIGHT raced tight inside NOBLE ALPHA which shifted in under pressure and then over the concluding stages raced in restricted room between FLAGSHIP SHINE and NOBLE ALPHA. In the Straight, REAL GENEROUS lay in under pressure. A veterinary inspection of SOLAR GREAT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLAGSHIP SHINE and NOBLE ALPHA were sent for sampling.
