In the Parade Ring, it was noted that MING HOI GLORY had blood at its mouth. MING HOI GLORY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. INFINITE COURAGE began only fairly. COSMO ONE began awkwardly. GENERAL DANROAD was crowded for room at the start between HAPPY GOAL and SPICY SHRIMP which shifted out. From the outside barrier, PETIT PRINCE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Also shortly after the start, QUIET CONFIDENCE was taken across behind runners. After the 800 Metres, BRILLIANT LIGHT was unable to maintain its position when racing tight between GENERAL DANROAD and MING HOI GLORY which throughout the race got its head on the side and hung out. Rounding the Home Turn, MING HOI GLORY hung out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of INFINITE COURAGE. At the 300 Metres, SPICY SHRIMP and COSMO ONE bumped and became unbalanced as a result of SPICY SHRIMP shifting in under pressure. After this, SPICY SHRIMP got its head on the side and continued to lay in. Approaching and passing the 100 Metres, INFINITE COURAGE got its head on the side and lay in under pressure. For the majority of the race, HEY HA MASTER travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of QUIET CONFIDENCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. K-MOOCHI and COSMO ONE were sent for sampling.
