KOWLOON EAST KING began awkwardly. JACK’S GEM was crowded for room at the start between DIAMOND ANGEL and MARVEL PLUS, both of which shifted ground. Shortly after the start, BINGO BINGO was bumped by ASMODAI which shifted out. Near the 950 Metres, ASMODAI and DIAMOND ANGEL were momentarily crowded for room inside MARVEL PLUS which shifted in. Then passing the 900 Metres, DIAMOND ANGEL was steadied away from the heels of MARVEL PLUS which got its head on the side and shifted in. Passing the 600 Metres, KOWLOON EAST KING shifted out and bumped GRACYTOM. Passing the 200 Metres, GRACYTOM was shifted out away from the heels of GOOD SMILE to obtain clear running. DIAMOND ANGEL, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence. Passing the 50 Metres, BOLD TACK shifted out and bumped GOOD SMILE. Throughout the race, ASMODAI travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of MARVEL PLUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GRACYTOM and KOWLOON EAST KING were sent for sampling.
