AMAZINGLY lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently was slow to begin. Near the 1200 Metres, AMAZINGLY got its head up when being checked away from the heels of EAGLE SPIRIT which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TOWERING STORM. Passing the 1100 Metres, RIO WILLIE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JAMESINA. Passing the 600 Metres, TURBO JEWELLERY was shifted out away from the heels of LET’S GOAL which at this time came under pressure. Near the 500 Metres, EAGLE SPIRIT and LET’S GOAL, which was commencing to give ground, bumped as EAGLE SPIRIT shifted out to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection of LOVING STAR after the race revealed that it was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, LOVING STAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TRAVEL BRAND and TURBO JEWELLERY were sent for sampling.
