After being loaded, EXQUISITE CHAMPION and BEST SHOW became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, EXQUISITE CHAMPION and BEST SHOW will both be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. LUCKY FOREVER was checked when crowded for room at the start between BEST SHOW and GENKI TWINS, both of which shifted ground. In this incident, BEST SHOW, which was bumped heavily on its hindquarters, and its rider, T Angland, became badly unbalanced. Shortly after the start, BANKSTERS BONUS was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GOLD-FUN. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, BEST SHOW was momentarily crowded for room inside GENKI TWINS which was taken in by BANKSTERS BONUS which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of VICTORY MASTER. Near the 100 Metres, GENKI TWINS got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure, resulting in W M Lai having to correct the horse. After this, GENKI TWINS continued to get its head on the side and lay out. Throughout the race, VICTORY MASTER travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of BUBBLE CHIC and CHATER DREAM after the race did not show any significant findings. GOLD-FUN and ENDOWING were sent for sampling.
