WINNING BOY and HORSE APLENTY were crowded for room at the start between HEART WOOD and FORTUNE WINNER, both of which shifted ground. After this, FORTUNE WINNER and ENTHUSING, which had drawn the outside barriers, were taken across behind runners. VERY WELL was slow to begin. Near the 1500 Metres, FORTUNE WINNER shifted in and bumped VERY WELL. Near the 500 Metres, FLORA DANICA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HEART WOOD. UPGRADING, which was following, was hampered in consequence. Near the 200 Metres, AMITYSHIP and THE UNTOUCHABLELAD bumped. After the 100 Metres, FORTUNE WINNER was steadied and shifted to the outside of VERY WELL when tightened for room between that horse and THE UNTOUCHABLELAD. A veterinary inspection of HORSE APLENTY after the race did not show any significant findings. SUNRISE and ENTHUSING were sent for sampling.
